Promotions for educational ECO-game "Green Team"

During February interactive promotions for the new educational game "Green Team" designed for children of preschool and school age from Pakomak were organized. The promotions were held in shopping centers "Vero Centre" and “Ramstore mall” as well as in McDonalds restaurants. The children had the opportunity to compete in collection and selection of waste and thus learn how to properly care for the environment. Until the end of February, the game is active on the Pakomak’s website where the best ecologists will get interesting prizes.

Workshop on effective management of packaging waste

On 30th and 31st of January at Holiday Inn, organized by Pakomak , a workshop on "More efficient management of packaging waste " was held. The workshop was attended by 9 companies for waste management from: Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Turkey, Romania and Belgium. The workshop was an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss ways of finding more effective cooperation with companies and municipalities, as well as raising awareness for the selection of packaging waste.

Trash for art exhibition

The five awarded works in the contest Trash for art, organized by Pakomak, were presented in the Vero Centre from Jan 12 to 22 where you had the opportunity to see them. Currently they are exhibited in the shopping mall "Ramstore", and the exhibition will continue in McDonalds restaurants in Skopje. We invite you all to visit the exhibition and enjoy the artwork made form packing waste.

Press Conference – 14.10.2011

On October 14th 2011, in the hotel Holiday Inn was held a press conference on which the manager of Pakomak, Mr. Philip Ivanovski and the representative of PRO Europe, Mr. Christian Stiglic, presented the results of the past work of Pakomak and the experiences from the implementation of the Law on Packing Waste Management.

Pakomak at CINEDAYS

This year Pakomak was sponsor of the 10th European film fesitval CINEDAYS, held from 10th to 20th of November 2011. During the festival Pakomak promoted the prize competition for developing art of packaging waste - Trash for art.

More than 130 participants in our prize competition Trash for art found beauty where others see only waste and created artwork.

The jury reviewed the submitted works and had a difficult task, given that really interesting artworks, made with great effort and creativity, were received.

So, Pakomak decided to grant 5 instead of 3 awards: a first prize (in the amount of 1.000 euros, two second prizes (each in the amount of 300 euros) and two third prizes (each in the amount of 150 euros).

Training seminars for new customers

On 15/06/2011 in the Hotel Bellevue, the first seminar for companies was held where Pakomak was presented to the potential clients. The seminar was attended by representatives of around 100 companies. Representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning were also present at seminar. The training covered several topics: obligations for companies from the Law on packaging, the advantages of the membership in Pakomak, ways of becoming a member of Pakomak, ways of filling in forms determined by law, etc.. In June and July, 3 additional trainings were held in the Hotel Continental for new clients, attended by more than 150 companies.

Press conference for the signing of an agreement with PRO Europe

On 20/05/2011, a press conference was held at the restaurant "Vodenica", regarding the signing of an agreement with the Group PRO Europe, thus Pakomak joined the international network for packaging waste management. With the membership in PRO Europe, Pakomak received a license for the use and application of the generally accepted symbol Green Dot.

On 06.02.2011, a press conference was held in the hotel Aleksandar Palace during which the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Dr. Nedjati Jakupi, officially handed the work license to "Pakomak." Thus, Pakomak became the first company in Macedonia, that is officially licensed by the Ministry of Environment for selection and processing of packaging waste, according to the new law on packaging and packaging waste.
